It conforms to the norms followed by International Youth Hostel Federation and is a non-religious, non-political, non-commercial unit transcending barriers of race, colour, sex, caste, creed or social background.This hostel started functioning from 17-4-1991 with 40 bed capacity spred over 4 dormitories and 2 leaders room 2 others ( Total 8 rooms )
What is Youth Hostel ?
"Youth Hostel is a "HOME AWAY FROM HOME"
Youth Hostels are not to be mistaken for luxury homes; nor are they to be mistaken for residential hostels, which provide boarding lodging for long periods. Here the accommodation provided is simple at moderate cost for short period, 3 days at a time, extendable at the discretion of the Manager in deserving cases.
Climate
Summers are hot and mild winter, Kozhikode experience both South West monsoon from July to September and North West monsoon from October to December.
Best season:
October to March, The warm tropical climate recommend light cotton cloth.
